All around great experience here. The food and coffee were delicious. It is pretty small so highly recommend making reservations ahead of time.

Darling spot, great staff and creative menu. Just a few technical issues. Their Postmates menu doesn't describe what is on the regular menu. Also, I had a toast pick up that was wrong, but they were nice about refunding.

Posting an updated review as I finally made it to Ivy for dinner. We had 4 in our party on a bustling Saturday night and got in immediately with a reservation. I will begin with the one aspect that was not the best: it took us about 25 minutes to get water. They notified us they were short on glasses which is no biggie, but when I am at a restaurant I tend to drink 5-6 glasses of water. And, once we did get water they provided us with a jug for refills and once that was gone they never refilled it. Okay, now for all of the positives, because they far outweigh the negatives here. The workers are great. The, who I assume to be the owner/manager, kept apologizing for not having waters out. The server did the same, super polite. They were definitely understaffed during our visit, but they all continued to smile. The fried pickles can hang with the best of them. Sliced paper thin and not too sour. The breading is crispy with the perfect amount of salt. truly some of the best I have had. The lamb pot pie was amazing as well. The actual puff pastry is wonderfully crusted and flaky. Baked to golden brown perfection.. the lamb is great and adds a distinct flavor to impart some innovation on a classic dish. The cacio e pepe was great also. the capers I think perfect this dish. Their version is super light and creamy. A great dish. Lastly, the sourdough sliders are probably the highlighth of the night. First, the sourdough is superb. They have their recipe perfected. But, the burgers were cooked great and the avocado mayo adds a nice texture to keep you wanting more. Ivy is a really solid spot. The inside is well decorated to offer a contemporary, energetic, yet natural vibe. It is a really solid spot, can't wait to get back!

Really nice experience here last evening. It was restaurant week in Clayton so Ivy Cafe had a fixed menu, but it was delicious. We started with beet chips and a salad. Both had ultra fresh ingredients and excellent flavors. See pictures. They were as enticing to the eye as the palate. I neglected to photograph the entrees but they were wonderful. Wife had the short ribs, which she let me try. Nice crunchy carbonized flavors, over a bed of creamy potatoes. Not a large meal however. I had the pasta carbonara which was more filling with delicious morel mushrooms and some crispy pork bits. Just the right amount of earthy cheesy flavor as well. Devine and enough that I felt fed. For dessert we had the gooey butter cake, which was our favorite, and the lemon olive oil cake which was a little light on flavor. But they were both good. Excellent coffee and teas here as well. Many of the platings were in hand thrown and fired dishes which were a treat in themselves. Dining chairs not comfortable by the end of a long meal. Lots of attention to detail here from the space to the food and beverages. Not cheap but highly recommended.

I had such a wonderful experience at Ivy Cafe as a first-timer. My two friends and I had brunch at Ivy Cafe on a workday. The place wasn't busy when we walked in around noon - most tables were available. We were seated right after we walked through the door. Our server was welcoming and helpful - she introduced us to their menu and helped us decide what to order (since we were all first-timers). Everything looked great on their menu. So, it took us a while to decide. Eventually, we ordered Parmesan Truffle Fries, the Alamo (for me), and the Delmar (for both of my friends). The Alamo was delicious! The ingredients were fresh and well-cooked, especially the shrimp. The bread was fresh and crisp. In summary, my visit to Ivy Cafe was fantastic. It's an ideal spot for work lunches, catching up with friends, or even a date. However, the parking is a bit tricky. I only found street parking spots in front of the cafe. There might be more parking available nearby, but you will need to study the parking situation before visiting Ivy Cafe. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu offerings!

My friends and I came to this cafe for lunch! It's my second time visiting and it's changed quite a bit since my last visit in 2022. The menu has expanded quite a lot to incorporate a variety of foods. The vibes and aesthetic of this place were lovely with cute plants and plates. Service was also quick with attentive staff. For specifics regarding the food, we decided to select a sharable and tried the butter board but it was a bit underwhelming. The presentation was lovely but the butter and toppings didn't have much flavor/seasoning so we added some salt from the table. There's really not much flavor to expect from fresh sprouts/petals/cheese especially when the butter is plain. It also didn't include seasonal fruit as stated on the menu. Might have been a mistake on our part since we didn't realize it was on the evening menu (we browsed the online order tab on accident). I was expecting more flavorful toppings to add to the local butter but the crackers-to-butter ratio was good! Besides that, the tartine and salad were solid choices! The iced coffee was also yum (although it was served a bit lukewarm, more ice would've been great). Overall a cozy experience and I may revisit to try other menu items!

Had an interesting lunch experience at Ivy Cafe with a colleague recently. I walked in and quickly realized I was the only guy there It felt like I had stumbled into a secret brunch club! The decor was charming and cozy, perfect for a relaxed lunch. We ordered "The Buckingham" avocado toast and "The Princeton" hummus toast. Both dishes were delicious and beautifully presented. The service, however, was a bit slow. Overall, it was a delightful visit. I'm definitely planning to return, this time with my wife for a date night.
